SYMPOSIUM ACCESS

The École de technologie supérieure (ETS) is easily accessible on foot or by taxi from the Central Train Station and the Central Bus Station. Trudeau Airport is about 20 km from ETS and several transportation options are available.

Getting in by train

Via Rail offers multiple travelling options from Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, and Quebec City. Your destination is the Gare Centrale Train Station.  From there, you may walk or take a short BIXI ride to your hotel, or head directly to the conference venue by heading South-East down Peel.

From Trudeau Airport (YUL)

  • TAXI/UBER

This is the most direct and convenient method, especially if you have a lot of luggage or want a comfortable ride. Taxis are available 24 hours a day outside the arrivals terminal. The journey takes about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and costs between $40 and $50 CAD.

  • BUS (#747)

The most economical option is to take the 747 bus, which runs between the airport and the city centre. This service is available 24 hours a day, with departures every 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the time of day. The journey takes about 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic. You can buy a ticket at the airport for $10 CAD, valid for 24 hours.

  • Car rental

If you prefer to drive, there are several car rental agencies at the airport. Just follow the signs to reach the street and the main arteries leading to the city centre. The journey time varies, but in general, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes without too much traffic.

  • Hotel Shuttle

Many downtown hotels offer free or discounted shuttles for their guests. If you have booked a hotel that offers this service, simply check with the hotel reception on arrival for the opening hours and procedures.

Public transits

Many options are available to get around Montreal. Here is a list of convenient public transits available downtown:
